After becoming member of EU, Lithuania experiences the same emigrational processes, which Western Europe has already experienced. Lithuanian citizens have broader possibilities to find their niche not only in Lithuania, but also in other EU countries, and it has effect for further employees’ emigration. There are still international job market liberalization processes going on and Lithuania has not just emigrational, but also very important “brain drain” problem. It means that the best professionals leave the country searching for better jobs, so the intellectual capital decreases.
